The mission of Lewis Stamp Company is to satisfy every customer by making available the highest quality stamp at the best possible price. To achieve this we explore, through personal contact, the customer's wishes and then use our resources to fulfill them.

Our inventory includes an extensive lineup of stamps for all aspects of Canada (including the provinces) mint and used. Other stocks include Australia, the United States and Great Britain- especially current used. In 1961, we began our business by supplying approvals and new issues through the mail. Throughout our university years at St FX, Dalhousie, St. Mary's and UNB we carried on the business. We began attending bourses in 1968 while living in Halifax, NS. Following our move to Saint John, NB we expanded the number of number of bourses in which we participated to about 12 per year including Portland and Bangor Maine. By the mid 1980's, we were attending many more weekend shows. Throughout the 1990's we participated in an average of 6 shows per month in cities like St John, Fredericton, Moncton, Charlottetown and Halifax. In addition, we managed to make a regular appearance at many bourses throughout New England. With the advent of eBay and for the next 15 years we sold through that medium. Since retiring as a high school teacher and moving to Ottawa, we can now be seen through our participation in major stamp bourses primarily in Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa and Halifax.

While the winter months are pretty much occupied by philately, the summers are devoted to my other passion. Almost daily, from early May to late November I can be found slugging through another 18 holes and seeking that illusive perfect round that even a triple bypass three years ago didn't sidetrack.
